You’ve decided that you want to have a Summer Princeton University Engagement Session! How exciting! The Campus is rather large, so you want to be sure to hire a photographer that is familiar with the location, so you can utilize your time appropriately.
Below are some of my favorite spots at Princeton University, with the beautiful Erica and Joe for their engagement session this past June! We have a wonderful time walking around the campus, exploring and creating beautiful images!
The perfect starting point for your Summer Princeton University Engagement Session! I love Nassau Hall because it’s beautiful in all seasons. Below you will see what it looks like in June. This is the front side of Nassau Hall on Nassau Street. Starting here, makes it easy to loop around the campus and end very close to this spot, so you aren’t too far away from your car.
Below, it the right side of Nassau Hall. There is this beautiful arch against the building that just frames the soon to be Mr & Mrs so perfectly! I love stopping here to take a quick photo before we continue on our journey through Princeton University!

The back of Nassau Hall is covered in ivy and the symmetry is just gorgeous. This is the perfect location for a wide angle showing off the building and maybe a nice little stroll.

The sun shines through the trees here perfectly!! A Summer Princeton University Engagement session is just so magical.
My next stop is East Pyne Hall! Behind Nassau Hall, to the left. It’s a really fun spot that looks like a castle!
After East Pyne Hall, I like to go back to Clio and Whig, which is directly behind Nassau Hall. Now we are kind of making our rounds around the Cannon Green lawn. Once you figure out where you are going, it’s not that difficult to navigate. Clio and Whig are twin buildings that have gorgeously tall columns and the buildings are made of a beautiful white stone. In my opinion, this is such a gorgeous look for a bride to be!

A little backtracking here, but I love to head over to McCosh Hall. From Clio and Whig, you walk down Chapel Drive. McCosh Hall is right next to the Chapel. I love McCosh Hall because the doors are old and ornate, the sun shines beautifully here, and the ivy is hugging the building! It feels old here, in a good way. My favorite spot to practice some dancing!
After McCosh Hall, we turn left and pass the Art Museum and go straight for Prospect Gardens. Princeton University does such an amazing job at keeping this garden looking absolutely stunning! The amount of butterflies you will see in June is mesmerizing!

The last stop is Rockefeller College. This is probably the most iconic spot at Princeton University aside from Nassau Hall. Not only is it beautiful, but it is also a residence hall. Photographing here in June, July and August is usually not a problem, but when school is in session it’s off limits. Being respectful and understanding that the residence do need their privacy is very important. Keep that in mind when booking the time of your engagement session. Also, we are right back to Nassau Street, so your car should be relatively close!

I absolutely loved Jamie and Connor’s Beach Wedding at the Deauville Inn. But first, let me tell you about their love story…
Jamie and Connor’s love story is one that feels straight out of a romance novel. Their journey began on a summer night in Avalon, NJ, on July 3, 2018, which also happens to be Connor’s birthday. It was a night filled with celebration and serendipity. Connor was renting a shore house for the summer with one of Jamie’s college roommates. Jamie decided to visit her friend, and they ended up celebrating Connor’s birthday at a local bar. Jamie insists she wasn’t playing matchmaker, but sometimes fate has its own plans. Jamie and Connor met, exchanged numbers, and felt an instant connection that night.
Their first date was at Tria Wine Bar in Philadelphia, where Jamie recalls feeling an immediate bond with Connor. He was charming, easy to talk to, and had her laughing all evening. From that first date, Jamie knew Connor was someone special. The more she got to know him, the more she fell in love with him.
After a long day at work, Jamie had planned dinner reservations at a new restaurant in the city. Little did she know, Connor had his own plans. In the cozy intimacy of their living room, Connor proposed, and Jamie said yes, marking another unforgettable moment in their journey together.
Together, Jamie and Connor share many passions—traveling, trying new restaurants, watching sports, and attending concerts. Jamie describes Connor as fun-loving and positive, with a great sense of humor that draws everyone to him. Their love is vibrant and infectious, a testament to their deep connection and shared joy.
We made sure to capture that magic! Their wedding was held at the Deauville Inn on September 10, 2022, in a luxurious tent on the beach, just steps away from the water. The sunset was breathtaking, and we walked out on a dock to get the perfect view for their portraits. The evening was capped off with sparklers, adding a fabulous sparkle to their unforgettable day.
Jamie and Connor’s wedding was a beautiful celebration of their love, surrounded by family, friends, and the stunning backdrop of the beach. Their plans to travel to Greece for their honeymoon, a place that perfectly captures their love for the beach and adventure, will surely create even more beautiful memories.
Thank you, Jamie and Connor, for trusting me with your memories! I wish you nothing but love, luck, and success in your marriage together!

With a multitude of talented professionals in the industry, finding the right fit that aligns with your vision and style can be quite a challenging task. From intimate beach weddings to elegant ballroom affairs, the photographer you choose will play a pivotal role in crafting lasting memories. In this comprehensive guide, we will delve into the intricate process of selecting a photographer for your Cape May wedding, providing valuable insights and tips to help you make an informed decision that will beautifully encapsulate your love story.
Understanding your wedding vision is the first step in choosing a New Jersey wedding photographer who can truly capture the essence of your special day. Whether you’re planning a grand celebration in one of the luxurious ballrooms of Avalon or a serene beach ceremony on the shores of Cape May, your photographer needs to comprehend and connect with the atmosphere and emotion you wish to evoke. The right South Jersey wedding photographer will not only have the skill to take stunning photos but also the sensitivity to understand the unique narrative of your love story. They will listen attentively to your desires, offer creative suggestions, and collaborate with you to ensure that your wedding photos reflect your personal style and the joy of your New Jersey wedding.
When it comes to immortalizing your wedding day, the expertise of a South Jersey wedding photographer is non-negotiable. A professional with extensive experience in wedding photography brings more than just technical skills to the table; they possess an intuitive understanding of lighting, composition, and timing to create captivating images that stand the test of time. Look for a portfolio that showcases a diverse range of moments, from candid laughter to the intricate details of the wedding attire. The best New Jersey wedding photographer will demonstrate a mastery over the craft that translates into vivid, emotion-rich photographs. This level of quality ensures that every photograph from your day tells a part of your story, whether it’s an intimate exchange or a grand gesture, with the clarity and beauty it deserves.
A photographer’s familiarity with the location of your New Jersey wedding can make a significant difference in the outcome of your photos. Knowledge of the local areas like Cape May, Wildwood, and other NJ wedding destinations provides the photographer with a unique advantage. They are aware of the lighting nuances, the most picturesque backdrops, and the hidden gems that can turn a simple photo into a work of art. Whether it’s the sunsets in Cape May or the Murals in Asbury Park, an experienced NJ wedding photographer can navigate these environments efficiently, saving precious time during your wedding day. They can also offer valuable advice on the best times and locations for your portraits. This insight is particularly beneficial for beach weddings in New Jersey, where the tides and tourist crowds can impact your photography schedule.
Beach weddings in New Jersey offer a unique opportunity for stunning wedding photography. The expansive sands, the rolling waves, and the changing colors of the sky in Cape May or along the east coast of the Jersey Shore create a magnificent canvas for your wedding pictures. A skilled NJ Beach wedding photographer knows how to capture the serene beauty of these coastal locations while focusing on the intimate moments between you and your partner. They understand how to use the natural light to its fullest, ensuring your photos have a soft, romantic quality that echoes the tranquil setting. When you look back on your wedding album, the combination of the photographer’s expertise and the natural allure of the beach setting will allow you to relive the magic of your beach wedding day after day.
Ballroom weddings in New Jersey call for a photographer who can artfully capture the elegance and grandeur of the occasion. The opulent interiors, with their sparkling chandeliers and sophisticated decor, provide a rich backdrop for timeless wedding photography. A seasoned New Jersey wedding photographer will have the expertise to navigate the dynamic lighting and capture the romance of your ballroom setting. They aim to encapsulate the luxury of the environment while focusing on the emotional depth of the wedding party and guests. From the first dance to the joyous celebrations, the photographer’s attention to detail ensures that the splendor of your ballroom wedding is immortalized. With each photograph, the grandeur of the occasion is woven into your narrative, creating a story as enchanting as the setting itself.
Scheduling a consultation with your potential New Jersey wedding photographer is a critical step in ensuring you’ve found the right match. It’s an opportunity to meet and discuss your vision, expectations, and any specific requests you may have for your wedding day. During the consultation, you can ask questions about their style, approach, and how they handle the unpredictable nature of a wedding day. It’s also the perfect time to review their portfolios and get a feel for their work firsthand. A face-to-face meeting allows you to gauge their personality and confirm that they’re someone you’ll be comfortable with during your wedding. Remember, the best Cape May Wedding photographer will not only take great photos but also contribute to a positive and seamless experience. So, let’s talk and start crafting the photography plan that will tell the story of your day.
