Lucky number 7! Why is the number 7 considered so lucky? Well, there are 7 colors in the rainbow, 7 continents, 7 days of the week, 7 seas, and 7 notes on a scale of music! 7 is a big deal, so documenting your child’s 7th birthday seems like the perfect thing to do right? I couldn’t agree more! Your child is growing up, they’t not babies, but not quite a tween. They special. This is the year where there is still magic all around them, but they seem to know so much more than they ever did… and they’re still sweet. They still love cuddles with Mom, but maybe now its Mom, and not so much Mommy.

For this little lady’s 7th birthday, she wanted to be on the beach! Do you blame her? A girl after my own heart! I adore the beach, and when I told her Mom about one of my favorite spots in NJ she knew, Birthday Portraits in Cape May just HAD to happen!

When she arrived I was blown away by how beautiful she looked. She had professional hair and makeup done and was wearing the prettiest dress! She even had an outfit change!

The weather was on our side, despite the smoke coming down from the Canadian Wildfires causing haze in our sky. The sun was still shining creating a magical glow in the evening on the beach, perfect for her Birthday Portraits in Cape May!

If you are visiting the Jersey Shore or just simply taking a day trip to the beach, and decide you want to remember these little moments and book a session – think of me. Cape May Beach Portraits are highly recommended, especially with Grandparents! I will encourage fun, laughing, running AND splashing! You’ll have the best memories, and you will not regret one moment of the fun you’ve had at the beach that summer night in 2023.

Cape May is not just a beautiful beach. Cape May beaches represent the best of the Jersey Shore. If you want sand that sparkles in the sunshine, ocean water that refreshes your soul, and the sounds of children giggles in the wind as you relax on the beach all day long – then THIS is the Jersey Shore you have been dreaming of. It’s the Cape May we imagine, it’s the purity of New Jersey that has you dreaming of going back in time. It’s all here.

For me, Cape May isn’t too far away. Of course, for me, everything is a trip – that’s just how NJ is. But, with each trip to Cape May, I always leaved refreshed. Yes, even when I am the photographer of your Cape May Beach Portraits. I find myself, most summers spending at least twice a week on the beaches of Cape May. It’s always on the top of my recommendation list, and no one ever complains!

If you are planning a trip down here to our beautiful beaches, I highly recommend booking your Cape May Beach Portraits. Not only will it be eventful and fun for the whole family, but you will be able to remember your trip. I take you away from where you are staying, and bring you onto the local side of Cape May. Where the dunes are free from fences, you can see natural in its purest form, and the views are cinematic.

Key takeaways from your session:
-Little hands holding carefully selected seashells
-Toes that aren’t so little anymore
-Tight hugs and giggles
-Memories you are so happy so have because today will soon be yesterday, and you’ll never get yesterday back again

I have been photographing Cricket and her family for years. I adore her daughters and look forward to our portrait sessions each year. We talk about locations, and what they’re looking for and then the magic unfolds. We decided on Hereford Inlet, one of my absolute favorite locations in Wildwood! They were so excited and so was I. Cricket put together the most beautiful color combination for their outfits. And of course they were going to get into the ocean with them because the memories and the fun make the session!
This year, Char was in charge of picking the session. She really wanted flowers so Longwood Gardens was very high up on the list. However, when I mentioned that the Hereford Inlet lighthouse is actually a garden and it’s stunning, we decided to go there! They were NOT disappointed, and I am pretty sure they found a new chill spot for next summer. Hereford Inlet is such a sweet little surprise. It’s never busy, the gardens are well maintained, there are benches and walkways, and a beautiful view of the ocean. What’s not to love?
The best part of the day was that the sunset set the sky on fire! It was as if the sun just knew we were coming and wanted to make sure we had the very best sky! Can you imagine, it rained earlier in the day? I always tell my clients to trust me when it comes to rain. I watch the radar, and make sure to make a very educated decision on if we postpone the session or not. I told Cricket, while yes it is currently raining that it looks to be clearing up and we should try for it! She gave her full trust to me, and wow, we really did luck out because just LOOK at that sky!
I can NOT wait until next year, and look forward to planning something special for their next session!

Congratulations to Mandisa & Godfrey on their marriage at The Smithville Inn on August 12th, 2022! Their wedding was magical and romantic! As the warm sun was setting on their skin through the floor to ceiling windows, they danced the night away surrounded by family and friends from both near and far.
Mandi and Godfrey chose to get ready in The Barn at Smithville. The decorations are rustic and really match the entire vibe of their Romantic Smithville Inn Wedding. They were both surrounded by their favorite people, and they helped them with everything they needed in order for both of their days to be perfect. When Mandi put her gown on, it was simply perfection. She looked radiant! Godfrey was in his room, getting his finishing touches and the anticipation was brewing! He could not wait to see his beautiful bride.
The ceremony was fantastic and everyone was so excited to see them both. When Godfrey saw Mandisa walk down the aisle with her father, it was very emotional. You could feel the love when they read each other their vows, and their first kiss was nothing short of romantic.
Surrounded by close friends and family, it was only natural that they had to have multiple toasts, song, and dance for their reception! They danced the night away and Mandi even had a dress change to get more relaxed as the night went on.
Congratulations again to the happy couple! I wish you both all of the love, luck and happiness for your marriage!

Congratulations to Devon & Timothy! They planned the most beautiful springtime wedding at The Bradford Estate on a warm day in March. How lucky they were to have the trees, full in bloom with gorgeous pink florals! It was so fantastic to see the two of them giggle in utter joy when they saw each other. Surrounded by family and friends made it so much better. They shared their laughter and love with everyone. The dancing went on all night and it sure was a party to be remembered!
Devon & Timothy are best friends. You can tell that just by the way they look at each other. Devon thought about the decor and incorporated Timothy’s love for fishing in so many little details throughout the day. The wedding cake, custom shoes made by her sister, and even the grooms wedding band – had Marlin’s on them. It was a fantastic blue throughout the day that was both easy on the eyes, and artistically pleasing! The bridesmaids dresses and the men’s ties, the ring box and even the flowers had the most peaceful blue. Everything was perfect for their springtime wedding at The Bradford Estate.
I could not imagine their wedding anywhere else. The Bradford Estate, which is a part of Clarks Landing Wedding Venues, describes their venue as, “Beautifully manicured grounds, exquisite interior and unique private suits that offer the most charming photo opportunities” and they are spot on! This is one of my favorite venues. Between the staff being absolutely perfect, to the entire day being fun flawlessly, this is the perfect venue for anyone in NJ or traveling to NJ looking for a one of a kind, charming country estate wedding.
Congratulations again to Devon & Timothy! I am beyond honored and so happy that I could join in on the fun and spend my day capturing all of your wonderful memories. I with you both the very best of love, luck and success in your marriage together!
