When I first met Lauren and Justin, they told me to be myself, have fun, and enjoy hanging out with them.

It honestly felt like I was meeting up with two old friends. We just clicked automatically. During their consultation we began to plan their engagement session. They wanted to climb ontop of a building to capture the sunset. Later on, unfortunatly plans changed. They did however end up taking my husband and I off roading with their amazing dog, Ruger in their jeep! It was probably the most fun engagement session, and most down to earth experience I had ever had. Lauren and Justin weren’t about frills, or anything fancy. They wanted something real. Their dog, was probably the most amazing part of the day. He was like an extremely well behaved child who went with the flow and did what he was told. They made a sign to go around his neck for their save the dates, and he actually stood there like a handsome little boy. Here are some photos from their engagement session:

So for their wedding day, I knew I was going to have an amazing time!

They had their wedding at The Smithville Inn!

It’s so perfect here. The historic towne of Smithville is quaint, and just set up for photos. It’s gorgeous, and so are they!

I have to say, that Lauren and Justin, are such an amazing couple. I know I talk about couples in love all the time, but they really are so much in love, it’s hard not to get emotional around them. Their wedding had me a bawling mess. So many tears, all day long. So many moments where you couldn’t help but cry because what was happening was just so beautiful. Weddings like these, are key reminders of why I do what I do, and why I am so passionate about capturing these moments.

I could chat all day about how perfect they are, and how amazing their day was, but I am just going to show you the photos.

Lauren and Matt had their wedding at Sand Barrens Golf Club!

I was VERY excited to go back here, because it is one of my favorite locations to shoot! The grounds are super pretty, and I ADORE their front entrance. When we started the day, it was over cast, but then it started to POUR RAIN. Every bride gets upset when it rains, but, as professionals we can only stay super positive and reassure them that everything will be JUST FINE. And everything WAS just fine. Lauren was DROP DEAD GORGEOUS in her wedding dress, she had the prettiest details, and Matt was super calm all afternoon. We did have to have an inside ceremony which was a bit crazy, but it all worked out.

I have to say that Sand Barrens was able to come up with a plan very fast, and they were amazing all night long! It’s always nice when we can work together with one goal in mind – the newly weds! It’s their day, and we need to make it perfect for them! I think we all came together and helped make this day amazing for them. If you are looking for a venue that can pull bunnies out of a hat – this is the place, you need to book a Sand Barrens Golf Club Wedding!

Lauren and Matt, not only were amazingly calm the entire night, but they had such a gorgeous wedding. Their bridal party was dressed black tie with black lace dresses with the most lucious red rose bouquets! Their theme held true through each table and even the cake. I love when a theme works seamlessly! It was very romantic, and most importantly, these two know how to have a good party!

Amber and Nick had a beautiful rustic wedding at Massos Red Pine Inn.

It is one of my favorite places to shoot simply because of their GORGEOUS waterfall ceremonies. When I met with Amber and Nick, I knew that their wedding would be a lot of fun. They were both super laid back, easy going, and they clearly were in love!

The day of their wedding the weather could not have been better! I had quite a few weddings in May and this was a double wedding weekend for me! Luckily, the weather was amazing, and the photos could not be more perfect! I know every bride always worries about the weather and I try to stress that weather will not determine how your day will go. However, when the sun is shining, everyone cannot help but smile!

Believe it or not, I think it’s pretty hard to have a rustic wedding in New Jersey, because we have so many golf clubs around. Massos Red Pine Inn is the absolute perfect venue for this. It’s a hidden gem, it really is. Massos actually has a few different choices on their property; the crystal manor, the Red Pine Inn, and even a huge tent! You really can’t go wrong here. Anyway, the Red Pine Inn, is quaint, it’s cozy, and it really bring family and friends together. Just wait until you see the pictures below. You will totally understand what I mean. Amber and Nick’s wedding was full of good people, gathering together to celebrate their love! At no point did I feel out of place. Guest were coming up and chatting with us, the staff was amazing, and all in all, it was just a fabulous day.

Amber’s bridesmaids wore the prettiest shade of purple, and Nick’s groomsmen looked dapper in their matching vests! The flowers, and the greenery, everything was amazing. But enough of me chatting about it, I know you want to jump right to the images. Check them out, and enjoy!

When Dana emailed me about having a Stockton Seaview wedding, I was so excited!

I love the Stockton Seaview, and love that it is only down the street from my home! I hadn’t met Dana until I walked into the hotel room on the day of her wedding. When I saw her for the first time, she was stunning! Dana was absolutely glowing in love! Their wedding at The Stockton Seaview‎ in Galloway was classic and beautiful. The bridal suit is just set up for weddings. Gorgeous linens, finely upholstered chairs, and rich colors throughout! The amount of window light was perfect for photos, with the sheer curtains and delicate drapery.

Dana’s dress was adorned with beading and crystals and her veil was the icing on the cake! She was so gorgeous! And those flowers! Take my breath away! The most amazing flowers I have ever seen! Drew and his groomsmen were handsome in grey! Grey is probably my new favorite for suits because of this wedding. The bridesmaids of course had the most amazing black dresses with gray shawls. I would be lying if I said I wasn’t obsessed with gray and black.

The ceremony took place on The Stock Seaview’s great lawn. It’s probably my favorite place for a ceremony, because you get to see the gorgeous architecture in the background with beautiful topiary’s and lots of green grass! I love to capture the surroundings of the wedding, to bring back memories of the location they chose. Not only that, but the ballroom is my favorite! For their first dance, I was taken back and in tears at how in love they were. They way he held her, embracing her in his arms. It was like a fairytale! The beautiful chandelier with the soft lighting of the room. It was perfection! If you want to feel what it’s like to be a princess, The Stockton Seaview is the place for you! We adore winter weddings, and snow in general. Egg Harbor City is my home away from home. We love to shoot all over this town, including their very own wedding venue, Blue Heron Pines! In fact, we are on their preferred vendors list! Their weeping willow is one of our favorite aspects to their venue, among other things their staff is absolutely priceless! I wanted to do a styled shoot in the snow, and when I heard we would be getting some snow, I ran to my closet to check the size of the dress I had purchased earlier this year. It was a thrift store find. A lot of beautiful dresses are worn once, and either tossed to the side of a closet, given away or sold to regain some money back after its use. Being a resourceful photographer, I often find myself looking into thrift stores to find some hidden treasures. Months ago, as I was skipping down the dress aisle (yes, I’m serious) I saw this dusty rose gown staring at me. It wasn’t just a prom dress, or an evening gown. This was a pink, taffeta wedding dress! I couldn’t believe my eyes. The size said 16, but there was no way it could be a 16. Whoever had this dress obviously had it fitted to their body. So, as you know how difficult it is to find someone to fit a dress that has been taken in, it just sat in my closet. I began imagining all of the different styled shoots I could come up with centered around this dress. Would it be a trash the dress? Would it be a bunch of roses? Never did I think of snow!

In two days, I was able to find a bride for the dress, a florist to make a bouquet (Karen Fowler Floral Design), and scout out some amazing locations. Believe it or not, finding a tree lined road, AND Christmas tree’s is a bit tricky. Thankfully, I’ve got some secret locations up my sleeve! Of course I had to add some personal touches as well (my wedding shoes that survived my house fire, my crystal champagne flutes that I bought for boudoir sessions, and the Bride even brought along her Grandmothers fur coat!)

This was going to be EPIC! Not only did it snow, but also it was a perfect day to shoot. We had nice, even lighting and of course my amazing assistant, my hubbs helped drive us around in his truck, and toss some snow on the Bride!
