When I first met Lauren and Justin, they told me to be myself, have fun, and enjoy hanging out with them.

It honestly felt like I was meeting up with two old friends. We just clicked automatically. During their consultation we began to plan their engagement session. They wanted to climb ontop of a building to capture the sunset. Later on, unfortunatly plans changed. They did however end up taking my husband and I off roading with their amazing dog, Ruger in their jeep! It was probably the most fun engagement session, and most down to earth experience I had ever had. Lauren and Justin weren’t about frills, or anything fancy. They wanted something real. Their dog, was probably the most amazing part of the day. He was like an extremely well behaved child who went with the flow and did what he was told. They made a sign to go around his neck for their save the dates, and he actually stood there like a handsome little boy. Here are some photos from their engagement session:

So for their wedding day, I knew I was going to have an amazing time!

They had their wedding at The Smithville Inn!

It’s so perfect here. The historic towne of Smithville is quaint, and just set up for photos. It’s gorgeous, and so are they!

I have to say, that Lauren and Justin, are such an amazing couple. I know I talk about couples in love all the time, but they really are so much in love, it’s hard not to get emotional around them. Their wedding had me a bawling mess. So many tears, all day long. So many moments where you couldn’t help but cry because what was happening was just so beautiful. Weddings like these, are key reminders of why I do what I do, and why I am so passionate about capturing these moments.

I could chat all day about how perfect they are, and how amazing their day was, but I am just going to show you the photos.

Melissa & Peter had a contemporary wedding at the lovely Doolan’s Shore Club in Spring Lake, NJ!

I met Melissa & Peter earlier in the year for their engagement session. They decided to go to Laurita Winery! You can view their session here. It was a perfect day then, and I am still in love with their session. They are so in love and it shows in the photos. I was so excited for their day, we even chatted about it at the winery. She had everything planned out and was excited and ready for it to finally be here.

When I arrived at the venue I was instantly blown away by the gorgeous lobby! I knew I would be incorporating the iron stair case with Melissa’s dress! Her details were so pretty, and that veil! I love a gorgeous veil! Fast forward to their ceremony, a skylight Atruim! It was just stunning! The sun was shining, and it felt so nice on our skin (with the air conditioner of course!) Their day could not have turned out any better. Blue sky’s and beautiful weather. They truly on their engagement session AND were lucky newlyweds on their big day!

Doolan’s Shore Club was a fastastic venue. Everyone there was amazingly kind, and I could tell they really cared about their couples. I love talking about venue’s when they just do it right, and let me tell you – they do it right! The night was, nothing short of AMAZING, like a dance club, where everyone knew eachother! Melissa sure does know how to party! She was on the dance floor for most of the night! All in all it was an amazing night, and I was so happy to be a part of it!

When I met with Krista for the first time, she told me that she was getting married to her fiancé Arek at RON JAWORSKI’S BLUE HERON PINES.

Blue Heron Pines in Egg Harbor City, NJ is one of my favorite venues, and I love going there! Every time it is a new and amazing experience. I think having been there so many times, opens up more creative experiences. I try to keep things new, and fun. With Krista and Arek’s wedding, I really think I did just that! We had a ton of fun, and I mean, Krista is GORGEOUS, so it really wasn’t difficult.

Krista had the most amazing lace wedding dress I had ever seen. It was adorned with a delicate satin bow on the back, it fit her so well! She was timeless! Every brides dreams of what their perfect wedding day is, and for Krista, I am 100% certain, that all of her dreams came true! Having a wedding at Ron Jaworski’s Blue Heron Pines is so easy. Over the many times that I have been there, I have never had an issue. They treat their brides and grooms fantastic, AND what I really love is that their treat their vendors amazing as well. They work with the timeline that we have, and we work with the timeline they have. We are all in this together, and working as a team, allows the bride and groom have the most amazing day ever! No complaints here, and I highly recommend them!

Now, more about Krista and Arek! Seriously, these two are so much fun, you can see it in their photos. During their bridals, at the famous willow tree at Ron Jaworski’s Blue Heron Pines, they were laughing non stop… they are also head over heals for each other, and they are truly in love. On my wedding day, we trusted our photos to amazing photographers, who I am so proud to say are dear friends of mine. Looking back at the pictures, I KNOW I made the right decision in hiring them. I want everyone to know and understand that choosing a wedding photographer isn’t just about pretty pictures. It’s so much more than that. It’s knowing who is taking your pictures, and understanding what goes into it. There is a lot of planning on a photographers end because they want your day to be captured the way you want it to be. I spoke to my photographers all the time, up until our wedding day. They knew what I liked, They knew what was most important to me, and they were able to translate all of my crazy, into the most memorable thing I could have ever dreamed of.

I have a few tips on finding the right photographer.

1. DO YOUR RESEARCH: 

In this day and age we have something so amazing and right in our fingertips! THE INTERNET! I am talking about Google, pinterest, Facebook, the knot, etc. Go look at different photographers in your area and look at their work. Look at reviews. Read about them; Google their names. Ask your friends! Finding out as much as you can on a photographer is a great start to finding out if you will like them or not! It’s very important that you like your photographer; you will be spending a lot of time with them!

2. EMAIL OR CALL:

Don’t just sit around and look at photographers. You’re engaged; take some action! Email them or call them! If you email a photographer, expect an email back. If you call them, expect a phone call back. The reason for this, is that they don’t (or at least I don’t) want to bother you. If you emailed me, maybe you don’t like talking on the phone. If you call me maybe you hate emailing. I want to respect that by returning my correspondence the same way you reached out to me. It’s important to make contact because you can then begin to ask questions. If price is your main concern, yes absolutely ask for pricing. If you want to know if they’re available because you love them, yes ask this too! Anything goes ladies, but it all starts by making contact.

3. SCHEDULE A CONSULTATION: 

THEY’RE FREE! Schedule a meeting with a photographer. How will you know if you really like them if you don’t meet with them? Photographers are nice! They want to talk to you, show you albums, and answer all of your questions (because YOU HAVE A TON, we know this, and we’re ready with answers!)

4. TAKE IT ALL IN:

Take everything you’ve learned from that photographer in, take notes if you need to, and talk to someone else! You may LOVE the photographer you met with – but are they the ONE? You want to be certain! There may be a ton of deciding factors. Were they less expensive? Were their photos SOOO much clearer, nicer, more your style? Were they just so down to earth that you wanted to be their BESTIE? Seriously lol, all jokes aside, make a solid decision because your photographer is going to be capturing the most important day of your life!

5. BOOK THEM!

This is the last step but its the most important one of all! If you find a photographer you love, you should book them! Wedding dates fill up SO FAST, and if you take too long to think if they’re the right photographer for you, someone else may take your day. It is so sad, but it’s happened before and it will happen again! Make a decision, and go with your gut! Once you book your photographer, things start to look up!
