Jersey Shore Beach Portraits are the very best activity to invest in while on vacation! I say activity because it’s so much more than just a photo session. Having fun with your family and documenting every moment is so special. You are making fabulous memories and will always remember this wonderful time with your family. I grew up a the beach, and it is my favorite place to be. Living in South Jersey has always been the best. I’ve been lucky enough to see the beach in all of the seasons, eaten ice cream and pizza after beach visits and walked on the boardwalk with cotton candy, Johnsons popcorn! I’ve had Polish Water Ice on warm summer nights, and I’ve sat on the beach talking for hours at night listening to the waves crash on the beach. To say I am lucky is an understatement.

As a professional photographer I am able to share my love of the beach, and of family with my amazing clients who come down here for amazing Jersey Shore Beach Portraits! My favorite place to photograph is in Ventnor, however, all of our beaches are beautiful! My favorite time is one hour before the sun starts to set. The beaches are mostly people free, and the sun is setting and giving us that beautiful golden hour every photographer craves! The water is the warmest in July and August, and after each session I always encourage some water fun! What’s a trip to the beach without that?

I am a South Jersey Portrait Photographer. It’s what I do. It’s what I love. I am so lucky that my children love to get in front of the camera for whatever reason. This portrait session however, had an AMAZING reason. My daughter won a trophy. Yep! I think that deserves a photo session!

My daughter is an Irish Dancer. She makes me so proud. This past weekend, she attended a WIDA (World Irish Dance Association) Feis where she placed 1st place in the beginner premiership category. I was shocked, not because I didn’t think she could do it, but because she never had and this whole experience is new for us. Her teacher, Miss Kate is phenomenal. She is by far the best dance teacher I have ever met. She is passionate about dance, kind to all of the children, and she teaches them respect, structure, and everything they need to know to be good competitors. Even if they do not win, they are proud to be there, and all of the parents are proud that they tried and had fun! At the end of the day, it’s about having fun and enjoying what you’re doing! It was a proud moment for me as Mom to see my daughter in just as much shock as me when she realized she had won first place. Tears were flowing from my eyes, and all of her friends and their families were cheering her on! My little irish dancer is moving on up. I am happy for her that she’s found something she is passionate about, and I can’t wait to see where this takes us! I can’t wait to take more photos of her winning and achieving new things! Good thing I am a South Jersey Portrait Photographer! I can easily take her portraits whenever she does something great!

Tonight we got the news that she will be moving up to hard shoe! (That’s the dance where they make a lot of noise when their feet hit the floor, during the jig) She took this news as basically hitting the lottery. She has wanted to make noise since she first saw the irish dance assembly at her school. I am so looking forward to her growing and loving every moment!

Of course, I just had to take portraits of her displaying her trophy proudly! (And if you scroll all the way to the bottom, you will see her puppy Princess Fiona just had to get in on the fun!)

Beach Sessions in Brigantine NJ are my absolute favorite! Beach sessions in general, I love – but there is just something amazing about Brigantine. It’s where I grew up going to the beach. The sand is just so soft! The ocean is a bit chillier here, but the sun is hot and once you get in, you do not want to get out! My favorite time to go is around 6:00pm and later. It’s when everyone starts to leave the beach, and the sun is getting ready to go down. It’s so relaxing, and some of the best memories are made during the golden hour!

This handsome little man came to the beach for portraits with his Mom and Dad! He loved the beach and wanted to come back again and again! (And I don’t blame him!) Who doesn’t love the beach!? Family sessions make me so happy, I personally make it a point to have a family session each summer. No matter what! My children will thank me one day when they can look back on the gorgeous photos and remember exactly how much fun they had, and can see how they’ve grown each year!

Happy Birthday Breanna! It’s your First Birthday Cake Smash in Galloway, NJ! Breanna was such a good girl! She came to visit me in my Galloway, NJ studio for her first birthday cake smash and she was so excited! Her amazing Mommy made her the most delicious cake and she was well, let’s just say uncertain as to whether or not she wanted to dive in! Miss Breanna preferred to stay clean! Her older sisters even dove in to show her how much fun she could be having!

We adore winter weddings, and snow in general. Egg Harbor City is my home away from home. We love to shoot all over this town, including their very own wedding venue, Blue Heron Pines! In fact, we are on their preferred vendors list! Their weeping willow is one of our favorite aspects to their venue, among other things their staff is absolutely priceless! I wanted to do a styled shoot in the snow, and when I heard we would be getting some snow, I ran to my closet to check the size of the dress I had purchased earlier this year. It was a thrift store find. A lot of beautiful dresses are worn once, and either tossed to the side of a closet, given away or sold to regain some money back after its use. Being a resourceful photographer, I often find myself looking into thrift stores to find some hidden treasures. Months ago, as I was skipping down the dress aisle (yes, I’m serious) I saw this dusty rose gown staring at me. It wasn’t just a prom dress, or an evening gown. This was a pink, taffeta wedding dress! I couldn’t believe my eyes. The size said 16, but there was no way it could be a 16. Whoever had this dress obviously had it fitted to their body. So, as you know how difficult it is to find someone to fit a dress that has been taken in, it just sat in my closet. I began imagining all of the different styled shoots I could come up with centered around this dress. Would it be a trash the dress? Would it be a bunch of roses? Never did I think of snow!

In two days, I was able to find a bride for the dress, a florist to make a bouquet (Karen Fowler Floral Design), and scout out some amazing locations. Believe it or not, finding a tree lined road, AND Christmas tree’s is a bit tricky. Thankfully, I’ve got some secret locations up my sleeve! Of course I had to add some personal touches as well (my wedding shoes that survived my house fire, my crystal champagne flutes that I bought for boudoir sessions, and the Bride even brought along her Grandmothers fur coat!)

This was going to be EPIC! Not only did it snow, but also it was a perfect day to shoot. We had nice, even lighting and of course my amazing assistant, my hubbs helped drive us around in his truck, and toss some snow on the Bride! Oh, and PS – As it turned out, the dress was a size 8!!!!!
