Its fall! The leaves are changing colors and your children are getting bigger. You want to document this season to remember how cute they look in those brown corduroy pants that stinking adorable pumpkin sweater! Because next year, they probably won’t allow you to dress them, so savor this moment. So the question is, do you book a mini session or a full session?

You need to first take a look at your family, and see what would work best for them. If your children like props, and love a good theme, but get bored easily – then perhaps a mini session is your best bet! Mini sessions are usually themed, and can last anywhere from 10-15 minutes.

A full session would allow your family up to 1 full hour to walk around a location of your choice. Your family will be able to play, laugh, have fun and make a really great memory out of this. Your photographer (me!) would walk with you, capture fun candids of your family enjoying each other, and pose you when we get to the really amazing spots. Some people think that the 1 hour is too long for a child, but, when you really think about it, we aren’t photographing for that entire hour, your children are running, laughing and having a great time!

Both sessions will allow you to obtain beautiful images of your family, that’s no doubt! It really depends on you and your family and what you are looking for. I love New Jersey. Not just because I live here and have my whole life, but because it truly is The Garden State! We are able to see all of the beautiful seasons change. One of my absolute favorite time of the year is when the leaves change color. It’s like a paint can just spilled out and when the sunlight touches it just the right way, it’s magic. Pure magic. Below are some of my favorite images from our Fall Mini Sessions at Estell Manor. Estell Manor is  very special, as it is the resting place of so many fallen soldiers. I, myself have a grandfather there that passed away 6 years ago. He served in WWII and received the purple heart while being hurt during combat. Every time I visit there I make sure to stop by and say hello to him.

Fall Mini Sessions at Estell Manor:

Mini sessions are a BIG DEAL. They’re a big deal because I do not offer them throughout the year. It’s a great way to get in front of the camera for a few minutes, get some AMAZING photos of your kids, your family, or even if yourself! I have decided to offer them this fall as harvest mini sessions. I styled the stage to be pumpkins, straw, corn stalks, an old fence, and a wood floor. I love these, I love how they came out, and I love how much fun it was to design it. Styled shoots make me super happy! I love them. If I could do them ALL THE TIME, I would, easily, in a heartbeat! I wanted to incorporate some white pumpkins. I dont know why, but I feel like they are just so chic, and fancy. And luckily, one of the little ladies that showed up had on WHITE with CHEETAH! So stinkin’ adorable! I can’t stand it. I do however, pride myself knowing that my clients are by far the best dressed, ever. Way to go everyone, keep it coming! I adore the attention you give your families. It makes my job super easy! So, check out what I did this fall, and remember this will happen again NEXT FALL! (Ya know, and christmas too!)
