It’s finally here! The year that your son or daughter goes to Pre-School! What ever emotions you’re feeling, they’re justified, and I won’t judge! Your baby is growing up, and gaining so much independence. Be proud of them, smile, and let them go! It’s a big step to watch them grow into their own little personality. But, what about Pre School Portraits? Will they be good enough, will your child smile, will they give them enough time to truly capture that personality that they’re growing into so fast? That’s where I come in! I offer Pre School Portraits in Galloway right in my studio. Your session will last up to 1 hour, and no that does not mean we will be photographing for that whole hour, it simple means I will allow your child the opportunity to laugh, giggle, shake their silly’s out and be themselves!

Of course we have props, because what child doesn’t like a prop? One of our best props is a vintage desk! It’s the perfect size for your little one, and we place old books around it, as well as a fresh bag of apples for your child to play with, toss around, and even balance on his or her head! It’s a lot of fun for both the kids and the parents!

How we are protecting everyone with Covid: We sanitize our studio before and after each session, wear masks, have 2 sanitizing stations, and only book one full studio session per day, unless we are having mini sessions.

I had the honor of photographing the Brooks family for their Summer Family Session in Galloway, NJ. Summer doesn’t always have to be the beach! There are so many beautiful locations that are often forgotten when the sun comes out! Yes, we love the beach and all things sandy and warm, BUT we don’t want to forget about all of the gorgeous hidden gems around Atlantic County! One of my favorite places to go is none other than Stockton University in Galloway, NJ! It’s right around the corner for me which is always nice, but more than that it’s BEAUTIFUL. Stockton does such a fabulous job at landscaping their grounds! It’s perfect for portraits, and even a picnic! (Seriously, bring a picnic basket to your session, that would be so adorable!)

Having your Summer Family Session in Galloway, NJ is so relaxing. Galloway is a not considered a shore town, so it’s usually quiet during the summer months. However, there are so many beautiful hidden gems within Galloway that make you really glad you decided to stop here. You’ve got multiple bay locations, campgrounds, a gorgeous university, and countless parks and playgrounds. It’s the perfect location for a summer portrait session.

I am throwing it back to 2015 here with a portrait session in Galloway. It’s of my own babies. They have messy hair, and their clothes are, well, play clothes. I think at the time I said, girls, lets go take pictures in the back yard, they jumped for joy, I grabbed my camera, and then photos were made. I love revisiting old photos, and looking back at how adorable my (now almost 8, and 6 year old) babies were! I recently found a bunch of old photographs from my Great Great Grandmother and Great Aunt and my Grandpop and I guess I am feeling super nostolgic right now. One day, my daughters are going to find these photos, because of course I am going to print and frame them. They would never get a chance to find them if I don’t print them. CD’s are basically gone. USB’s will soon follow. I only hope that our hard drives stay around for a while, but because they connect via USB cord, I can only see them going sooner. I get so emotional about printing photos, and archiving them in albums, and being professionally framed , because believe it or not, these images are our legacy. It’s what we will leave behind, and at the end of the day, memories and knowing where you came from is what matters. I can’t tell you how big of an empty spot in my heart and my gut there is knowing that I can’t track down my Armenian Heritage. It’s sad, and sickening that my ancestors were killed during a genocide. But what I do have, the photos I did find, I hold so close to my heart, and they fill such a beautiful void! I hope one day, when my children find these beautiful images, they will be full of love and happieness because they can phsycailly hold a memory, and one day hang it on their walls.

This past week, I had the honor of photographing Beau, Alyson and their adorable son, George! They chose to have their Family Portraits at Stockton University, Alyson’s Alma Mater!

I cannot believe how large the Stockton University campus really is!

It’s so gorgeous and well maintained! We had such an amazing time walking around the campus and finding beautiful and interesting spots to photograph! My favorite spot was the wall with perfectly positioned flower pots. Everything was so perfectly aligned! But more important than the location, was the interaction between Mom & Son / Father & Son. Between delivering roses to his Mama, and sharing some key wrestling moves with his Daddy, I was able to see a glimpse of their family life, where time stands still for just a few moments and the only care in the world is unwinding and enjoying the moment. Babies grow up all too fast, and it’s okay to just stop, and watch them, stop and play with them, and just be there and enjoy growing up with them.
