I love sitting my kids in front of a cute set up and letting them just be themselves. It’s so important to capture their real personalities so when I look back, I can remember who they were that year. Were they happy or sad? Were they thoughtful and kind? A portrait can tell so much more than just a beautiful face. (And yes, of course ALL of our babies are beautiful) but I want to remember them for their sillies and the smiles and I love allowing them to have direction of their own. Want to grab that pillow? Plan a family beach session in Avalon, NJ with Bokeh Love Photography today and have memories that will last a lifetime! The beach is a place for fun, it’s a place to gather, and it’s a place where memories are made. There is never a bad day at the beach. When families reach out to me and tell me they would like me to photograph them on the beach, I am always excited. Every day the beach is different, the sand isn’t always in the same spot. The waves can be calm or they can be wild. There can be seashells or jelly fish, seaweed or clams. It can be a bright sunny day, or moody with overcast. It’s always a place to be expectation free, to go with the flow and see what happens. It’s natural and wonderful, and unique as each family session. This particular session was an Extended Family Beach Session in Avalon, NJ.

Avalon, NJ is one of my favorites places to photograph. The beaches are beautiful and the beach paths are out of this world! I am so lucky to be able to live in a place that most people call their vacation! To say I am blessed is an understatement! I have so many locations that I have up my sleeve but this one, this one is one of my favorites!

As the summer is coming to a close, that doesn’t mean beach sessions are over! I love beach sessions in September and even in October! Also, I have something up my sleeve that may include a peacock chair and some GORGEOUS flowers for late August/early September. I love babies, I especially love 1 year old babies. They’re so full of life, and happy, and they’ve developed their own little personality! Some are quiet and shy, and others are fast moving and all giggles! I never know what is going to walk through my door (literally!). Some walk, some just aren’t there yet. If you are looking for First Birthday Portraits in Galloway NJ, then we are the company for you! One of my favorite sessions to date is little Miss Nora. She is so pretty, and inquisitive. She inspected the entire set, and wasn’t quite sure of my camera, even though I’ve photographed her quiet a few times. I love watching my clients grow up. I can’t wait to see how she blossoms next year!

Sometimes a cake smash just isn’t what a client wants, and that’s totally okay! Birthday portraits are just as amazing! I still design the set, and we just have a less messy set up. This set up is one of my favorites as well. The white netting, the rustic letters, the beautiful flowers and gorgeous backdrop! I had the honor of photographing the Brooks family for their Summer Family Session in Galloway, NJ. Summer doesn’t always have to be the beach! There are so many beautiful locations that are often forgotten when the sun comes out! Yes, we love the beach and all things sandy and warm, BUT we don’t want to forget about all of the gorgeous hidden gems around Atlantic County! One of my favorite places to go is none other than Stockton University in Galloway, NJ! It’s right around the corner for me which is always nice, but more than that it’s BEAUTIFUL. Stockton does such a fabulous job at landscaping their grounds! It’s perfect for portraits, and even a picnic! (Seriously, bring a picnic basket to your session, that would be so adorable!)

Having your Summer Family Session in Galloway, NJ is so relaxing. Galloway is a not considered a shore town, so it’s usually quiet during the summer months. However, there are so many beautiful hidden gems within Galloway that make you really glad you decided to stop here. You’ve got multiple bay locations, campgrounds, a gorgeous university, and countless parks and playgrounds. It’s the perfect location for a summer portrait session.
